Luau

A Hawaiian feast traditionally conducted by local royalty and attended by the entire village. The feast was eaten sitting on woven mats and with a large selection of native dishes. The first Luau offered as a tourist attraction was at Hukilau beach on the north shore where travelers sat at the edge of the sands and watched locals dance and sing. Today a luau in Hawaii will include the familiar Hawaiian Hula, but also traditional Tahitian dancing, Samoan fireknife entertainment, and parts of other Polynesian cultures.
